A trip like this does not happen without a lot of planning ahead of time. We knew at least a year and a half ago that this trip was in the making. Kudos to Bill Wybenga who organized this trip for us. Only Bill and his very supportive wife, Rita, know of the countless hours that Bill has put into getting ready for this awesome adventure. First he had to determine what countries to go through, how many weeks to do this in and then what route to take. Bill spent lots of time on his computer and came up with the itinerary. Then he had to find places to stay each night for the 16 of us. Bill has done an excellent job in getting all the details together. Once he was able to get maps for his "Garmin", Bill planned the daily route. Even though Bill has all this on his computer, each night he still has to spend time with Anna, our designated driver, going over the routes. John VanderSteen has become his capable assistant in going over our daily route. Bill takes the "Garmin" along on his bike and the "TomTom" goes in the van. We are all so thankful to Bill for his excellent work and for his continuous patience and encouragement to the rest of the group. Thanks for a job well done, Bill!
